Michael Parkin had been dealing in Modern British Art for over 40 years, opening his first gallery in Belgravia in 1972. In 1999, Michael Parkin sadly closed his Motcomb Street gallery due to rent increase. He began dealing privately from home and art fairs, alongside, his wife, Diana Parkin. Their daughter, Zuleika, soon joined the family business, graduating from Oxford Brookes University with History of Art and Wimbledon Art School.
In August 2014, Michael Parkin died peacefully at home. Today, Michael Parkin Fine Art is a friendly family-run business, located in London and Norfolk. Explore some of the things they have in stock on their website with work from the 1890's to present day. They carry a wide range of subject matters and styles.
"I always advise you buy what you like. Well-chosen prints, whether it is £5 or £500, is a great way to glam up your walls and start an affordable collection. And, if you're lucky, it may become a collector's item. Always remember - you are investing in your own pleasure.” Zuleika Parkin
This is the first outing for Michael Parkin Fine Art at Cambridge Art Fair and we are very pleased to welcome them to the event. Find them on Stand E2 on the stage, straight down the centre of the fair at the end of Aisle B.
