Getting To The Fair
Cambridge benefits from frequent trains to and from London via the King's Cross and Liverpool Street stations which are 50 and 60 minute journeys respectively. There is also a direct train from London Stansted Airport which takes approximately 30 minutes. For further enquiries call the National Rail Enquiries Helpline (24 Hour) on 08457 48 49 50.
The Guildhall is approximately a 20 minute walk from the train station. Upon leaving the station go straight down Station Road and turn right onto Hills Road. Continue straight across onto Regent Street. Turn left onto Sydney Street and then left again onto Petty Cury. Keep going until you reach the Market Square.
The city is easily accessible by car, via the M11, A11 and A14. For parking options, see below.
Park & Ride-
If you are driving to Cambridge then the cheapest places to park are at one of the Cambridge Park and Ride services. It is free to park but you do have to pay for the bus in to Cambridge city centre.
There are five Park and Ride services located around Cambridge to the north, south, east and west. Please do not leave your cars overnight at the Park and Ride facilities as they have very little security. There are five Park and Ride locations around Cambridge, as detailed below:
Babraham Road- to the south east of the city on the A1307. The postcode for your satnav is CB22 3AB
Madingley Road- to the west of the city, just off the M11 (north) and right onto the A1303. The postcode for your satnav is CB3 0EX
Milton- to the north of the city on the A10 heading towards Ely. The postcode for your satnav is CB24 6DQ
Newmarket Road- to the east of the city just off the A14 at junction 35 heading west. The postcode for your satnav is CB5 8AA
Trumpington Road- to the south of the city, just off the M11 at junction 11. The postcode for your satnav is CB2 9FT.

There are several city centre car parks available but we would recommend the excellent park and ride facilities, particularly if you are unfamiliar with the city. If you decide to drive in to the city centre the nearest car parks to the Guildhall are as follows:
Grand Arcade- virtually next door so just a couple of minutes walk away. Click here for more information.

Queen Anne- slightly further away on Gonville Place but a lovely walk across Parker's Piece. Click here for more information.

There are three entrances to the Guildhall:
1/ From the front entrance on Market Square there are four steps up to the ground floor. The door can be opened by pressing a button. The main reception is straight ahead and there is a flight of stairs up to the first floor.
2/ The side entrance from Peas Hill has a level entrance with two sets of doors. The first door is fully automatic and the second can be opened by pushing a button. The Cambridge City Art Fair 2013 can be reached on the first floor by way of the lift located next to this entrance.
3/ The side entrance from Guildhall Street has automatic doors opening to five steps that lead to the ground floor and then a flight of stairs up to the first floor.
Direction signs indicating the main public access routes within the Guildhall are printed in Braille and tactile lettering. There are also four Blue Badge parking spaces in Peas Hill and two in Guildhall Street. Anyone with a Blue Badge can park in pay and display, residents' spaces or disabled spaces free of charge.
