A wonderful collection of artists, exhibitors, sponsors, partners, advertisers, VIP's and representatives from the press gathered at Hotel Du Vin on Trumpington Street on the 27th September for the 5th annual VIP Press Launch for Cambridge Art Fair. A few of our guests were fortunate enough to be provided with a very special chauffeur service for the evening, courtesy of Porsche Centre Cambridge.
The Mayor of Cambridge, Cllr George Pippas, was in attendance at the event which takes place every year in the Library and Ruinart Dining Room at the Hotel Du Vin. Representatives from our sponsor Mattioli Woods Wealth Management came along, as did Samantha Sherratt, Head of Supporter Engagement at Addenbrooke's Charitable Trust, our charity partner for 2017. Alice & Dawn from Iliffe Media represented our media partners Velvet Magazine and Cambridge Independent and we were also joined by Caroline from Cambridge Magazine. It was wonderful to see so many friends and supporters of Cambridge Art Fair attending the VIP Press Launch and we must extend our sincerest thanks to Michelle and the team at Hotel Du Vin for providing such a superb event again. Thank you so much to all those who came. We look forward to seeing you at Cambridge Art Fair in November.

We are very pleased to announce that Scottish gallery Art Exposure will be joining Cambridge Art Fair for the first time this year.
Art Exposure is Scotland's premier showcase for new contemporary painting. They represent new and established Scottish artists at Art Fairs throughout the UK. Since 1989 they have been at the forefront of Scottish contemporary art and have a strong reputation for discovering and fostering new artists. Director, Frances Lowrie, has a great passion for painters, particularly figurative works and it is this strong belief in her talented, exceptional artists which has driven the gallery forward. “Our Gallery has been a significant part of the Glasgow and Scottish art world for the past 25 years, working with artists quietly to help put them on the right career path, introducing young (and not so young, painters) to collectors and galleries". You'll find Frances and her Art Exposure portfolio on Stand C7 in the Large Hall. Click here to visit their website. We are very pleased to welcome Mayne Gallery from Kingsbridge, Devon, to Cambridge Art Fair for the first time this year.
The Mayne Gallery regularly holds events and exhibitions and exhibits at art fairs across the country. In addition to showcasing a range of contemporary art the gallery also provides a completely tailored range of framing solutions along with expert advice on how to make the most out of the art you own. You will find them on Stand A4 in the Large Hall at this year's art fair, but if you can't wait until then click here to visit their website. Huge thanks to The Velvet Magazine team for a fantastic 4 page spread in this month's issue. The article, written by our very favourite editor Alice Ryan, shines a light on five of our new exhibitors for 2017.
