Long Melford has long been an oasis of fine art and antiques in the beautiful Suffolk countryside. It was the location for the successful TV show 'Lovejoy' in the 80's and 90's and is now home to several art galleries and dealers, most of whom participate in Cambridge Art Fair (Lime Tree Gallery, Imagine Gallery, Walton & Bovill). A recent addition to that list is Melford's Famous Old House Gallery, a new gallery focussing largely on fine quality 19th and 20th century originals but with some contemporary work featured too.
The gallery opened earlier this year with a launch exhibition attended by former Snooker champion Dennis Taylor.
They will be showing original masterpieces by famous and highly regarded artists such as Edouard Leon Cortes, Antoine Blanchard, Eugene Galien Laloue and Jules Rene Herve to name a few.
