Established in 1989, Lynne Strover Gallery has earned its place as one of the UK’s leading provincial British Contemporary Art Galleries.
“There was no art in the house I grew up in, there was no bathroom either. I failed my art exams so when the gallery opened its doors 25 years ago it must have been destiny. I can think of no other reason. All consuming, impossible and exhilarating at the same time it soon became a way of life, a thrilling journey that I couldn’t have done on my own.”
Lynne has consistently curated diverse exhibitions, showcasing talent from across the British Isles, hand-picked by Lynne. Her unique style and eclectic taste means she has played a part in helping many Cantabrigians to adorn their walls with incredible and timeless pieces, and she continues to do so in 2014.
To mark her quarter-century in business, Lynne Strover Gallery is holding (alongside the usual five exhibitions per year) a number of special weekends throughout 2014. Lynne will be showcasing Fred Ingrams Fen-inspired paintings at Cambridge City Art Fair 9-12 October- keep an eye on her website for more details.
You can find Lynne Strover Gallery on Stand C5 in the Large Hall.
